Looking to spice up your weekend? Grab the family or a date, and head down to the Jacksonville Landing for the 4th Annual Jerk Food Festival on Sunday, Sept. 4. From 4 p.m. until 1 a.m. you can enjoy food, music and games with a Jamaican flair. Admission is FREE for this event, with the donation of a non-perishable canned good or school supplies.
Musical entertainment throughout the festival includes local DJ’s bringing the best in Caribbean music, local artists like Jacksonville’s own 418 Band, the renowned Platinum Band from South Florida, and internationally acclaimed Reggae artist Bushman and dance hall artist Papa Michigan headlining a sizzling lineup of Reggae and Soca entertainment.
Come enjoy a Kids Zone with Bounce House and authentic Caribbean foods. Test your heat tolerance in the Jerk Chicken Cook Off contest, a Pepper Eating contest, a Jerk Wing Eating contest and Limbo contest.
